The steak captured in the photo was the final dish that V and I prepared and enjoyed at V’s apartment. We made this satisfying meal amidst the bustling atmosphere of our move. As we were busy packing for V’s upcoming relocation on the Fourth, we needed a quick meal option. The steak, cooked with onions and bok choy, was minimally seasoned to prioritize both our health and the use of our time.

In addition to the protein, we delighted in a Caesar salad complemented by our preferred balsamic vinaigrette dressing. This gratifying meal provided us with the necessary energy to tirelessly pack throughout the night and then some, to carry out the task of moving boxes and furniture the following day.

To complete our gratifying dining experience, we indulged in tiramisu and banana pudding from Soon’s Bakery, made by a close friend of mine.

On the morning of the Fourth, S and I rented a U-Haul truck and loaded all of V’s boxes and furniture into the 10-foot truck. It was a tight squeeze, and a 15-foot truck would have made the process a bit easier, but we enjoyed the challenge of playing Tetris during the move. Ultimately, we successfully completed the move in a single trip, giving us the rest of the afternoon to relax. S and D kindly invited V and me to a pork belly dinner.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t prepare V’s pineapple sauce since her kitchen tools and condiments were packed away in boxes. However, we discovered radish and perilla leaf wraps in V’s refrigerator, so we brought those to the dinner. Those wraps definitely added to the experience!
