life – here
On this page, I collect my personal memories from daily events and unravel them in blog entries, ranging from travel stories to the dinners I enjoyed. I try to share my personal anecdotes, insights, and discoveries, all with the intention of caring and inspiring others. Also, this page serves as a platform for me to curate and share cherished moments with friends and family who are close by and with those who are halfway across the globe.
warehouse – here
I have created this little hyperlink warehouse on the Internet to gather and present valuable ideas and inspirations. Being an enthusiast of art, architecture, design, and crafts, I have dedicated this page to showcasing beautiful spaces, visual inspirations, sustainable living, and DIY craft ideas.
About me
Hi, my name is Hyung Kim, and I am the person behind the contents on this website. HSK880.COM represents the continuation of a hobby that I first started in the early 2000s. What initially began as simple web and graphic design pursuits eventually led me to embrace a career as a full-time creative professional. Please check out OFFICE880.COM if you are interested in my previous work.
Fortunately, I feel incredibly blessed to be among the few minorities who genuinely enjoy what they do for a living. Ever since I decided to become an architect during my junior year in college, I have immersed myself in the design world, and I have never looked back. Fast forward many years, I am now a licensed architect practicing in the state of Georgia.
As an immigrant who has lived in three significantly distinct regions, I have always pondered the true meaning of a “home”. Each place holds a special place in my heart, and it has been challenging to pinpoint a specific location that truly feels like home.
Seoul, S. Korea
I was born in Seoul, South Korea, around the time of the Seoul Olympic Games, and I spent my early childhood there.
California, USA
My family moved to the Golden State in 1998 on Christmas Eve. I lived in Albany, Concord, and La Jolla until May of 2010.
Georgia, USA
I am currently located in Suwanee, GA, which is a small suburb in the Metro Atlanta area. This place has grown on me ever since I moved here.
I believe that everyone is in search of their perfect home, whether it is a physical, emotional, or even virtual space. In my personal experience, family embodies the true essence of what “home” represents. My family provides the emotional support and drive I need to get through the difficult times. I am building my virtual home on the Internet using this site, which I call the “WAREHOUSE.” (It’s quite ironic that I often work on physical warehouse projects as an architect) Lastly, my fiancĂ© and I are currently searching for a physical home where we can start our married life together next year. I understand that building the perfect home may not happen immediately; it is a journey that involves learning through trial and error. However, I believe that the process of creating a home is an enriching one. It allows us to explore who we are, discover our preferences, and refine our values.
I hope to share my personal journey of creating the ideal home on this website and provide valuable information to those who are also on a similar path. It is my goal to offer guidance, tips, and insights that can assist others in their pursuit of finding or creating their perfect living space. I will post my home recipes and manuals in the WAREHOUSE.
